STAGEZONE PAST EVENTS

The baker street irregulars – 27-28.05.2023

We were delighted to have been able to perform our first full show on a stage! Everyone who came to see the show was blown away by the confidence and talent of all the cast. We had such a lot of fun speaking in a cockney accent and acting like Victorian street kids. Thank you to everyone for supporting us and for raising a total of £271.80 from donations and raffles. This money will go towards future shows and opportunities for the young people of Stagezone.

CHRISTMAS SHOW – 10.12.2022

At our Christmas Show, we performed a hand clapping choreographed Christmas song. We danced, sang and acted scenes with a partner/group. The programme included both Christmas and non-Christmas items and the hall was full! Everyone definitely sparkled and shone and it was so lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and having fun. Thank you for all the lovely comments received, it has been an absolute pleasure working with these talented young people.

TALENT WORKSHOP – 27.08.2022

We had such a lot of fun at our Talent Workshop. It was lovely finding out about your talents and your confidence was absolutely amazing! We also played some drama games too!

GREATEST SHOW WORKSHOP

At our Greatest Show Workshop we started to learn a song and some choreography. We also had fun playing some games involving popcorn, and we designed a poster. Thank you to everyone who came along.

SUMMER SHOW – 09.07.2022

Our summer show was a great success! Here are a few comments which were received from parents and friends who came along to see us. “It was awesome”. “Today was amazing – thank you for all your hard work”. “Lovely show”. “Thank you all so much for everything – you are all amazing”. “It was a joy to watch – thank you for a wonderful show”.

Everyone was most definitely a star! These star key-rings are so lovely!

PARTY IN THE PARK – 14.05.2022

Stagezone were asked to perform at the Party in the Park at Carnon Downs on 14.5.2022 to celebrate the opening of Pengelly Meadows Recreation Area. What a beautiful day! Thank you to everyone who took part.

cATS MUSICAL WORKSHOP – 20.03.2022

At our Cats Workshop, we had such a lot of fun learning about all things cats. We danced, we sang and we decorated cat masks too!

Vocal workshop with benji matthews – 06.03.2022

We were all very excited to have a vocal workshop with Benji Matthews from Cornwall who won acclaim from Simon Cowell for his songwriting, appearing on the 14th series of the X Factor. Benji’s Bootcamp performance of his original song “Daydream” became the 5th most viewed X Factor audition. Benji writes and produces his own albums and has received over half a million Spotify streams on his debut album alone.

Stagezone Workshop Performance – 04.12.2021

At our workshop performance, we performed a number of songs, both singing and dancing, to our families and friends. We also performed our chair dance which we learnt during socially distanced sessions – we were definitely feeling good!

Stagezone christmas zoom party – 19.12.2021

We played Christmas music, Christmas games, and we wore our Christmas jumpers. We were all definitely in the Christmas spirit!

STAZEZONE SUPER SELF SQUAD – NOVEMBER 2020

Stagezone Youth Theatre ran 6 Zoom sessions at the end of 2020, as part of the new “Super Self Squad”, aimed at helping young people’s confidence and self-esteem, by exploring mindfulness and relaxation techniques, friendship issues and the importance of “self”.

STAGEZONE ZOOM HALLOWEEN PARTY – 31.10.2020

On Saturday 31st of October 2020, some of our Stagezone members celebrated Halloween on a Zoom call! It was lovely to see everyone’s costumes and make-up – you all looked amazing! We played Halloween games such as Scavenger Hunt, Quizzes, Find the picture, Zoom in and Would You Rather, to name but a few! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun.

YOUNG MINDS HELLO YELLOW – 09.10.2020

Stagezone Youth Theatre raised £123.25 towards Young Minds and their #helloyellow campaign! Thank you to everyone who donated.

RED ALERT FOR THE ARTS – AUGUST 2020

Some of the members of Stagezone Youth Theatre were involved in the below video, in support of all the Arts and the important role they play in the development of young people. Covid-19 has affected the Arts in particular, and we wanted to be a part of showing people the importance of having a creative outlet, such as drama, music and dance.

STAGEZONE ZOOM SESSIONS – APRIL 2020

During lockdowns, we moved to online sessions and had lots of fun learning about the 7 stages of tension and learning our chair choreography!

Stagezone were asked to perform 2 songs on Saturday 25th January 2020, as part of the Carnon Downs Village Hall Open Morning and it’s 50th anniversary celebrations. Everyone was amazing!
