Michelle Moses – Founder

Michelle has been involved with the theatre and performance all her life, studying music and drama at school, and performing leading roles with Truro Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society and Redruth Amateur Operatic Society.

Michelle has performed at the Hall for Cornwall, The Minack Theatre, The Regal Theatre, Redannick Theatre and Trelissick Gardens.  Michelle also played the part of Madame Thernardier in a masterclass performance of Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, London, working with John Owen Edwards and James Powell.   Michelle has also won many music festivals in Cornwall singing light opera and musical theatre songs, and was vocal champion in the Cornwall County Music Festival in the 1990s.

Leading roles played by Michelle include:- Ruth in “The Pirates of Penzance”, the title role in “Iolanthe”, Reno in “Anything Goes”, Kate in “Kiss Me Kate”, Mrs Brice in “Funny Girl”, Bridget in “A Chorus of Disapproval”, Fraulein Schwarzenberg in “Blondel”, Nancy in “Oliver”, Svetlana in “Chess”, Lady Thiang in “The King and I”, Felicia in “The Witches of Eastwick”, Mrs Potts in Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”, Katisha in “Hot Mikado”, Golde in “Fiddler on the Roof” and Miss Hannigan in “Annie”.

Michelle also ran and coordinated the youth drama group for Truro Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society for 6 years from 2013-2019 on a voluntary basis, producing and co-directing Talent Shows, “The Baker Street Irregulars” and Disney’s “Alice in Wonderland Jr”.

Michelle is enthusiastic and passionate about using drama and theatre skills to develop expressive and self-confident young people of all ages and abilities.     Research has recognised the intrinsic value of drama as a platform for character building, by improving young people’s self-esteem, speaking and listening abilities, and teamwork skills.  Stagezone Youth Theatre provides the perfect opportunity to explore a young person’s creativity, and achieve a sense of accomplishment, in a safe, supportive and fun environment.

Michelle is a registered Chaperone with Cornwall Council – March 2023, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate – January 2023, holds a Level 3 Working Together to Safeguard Children qualification – June 2022, is basic first-aid trained – 2021, has a Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning – September 2016, holds a Level 2 AAT qualification – July 2019 and is an Accredited Administrator – January 2020.

Michelle has also completed a Managing Conflict Course – June 2020, a Social Action Community Spaces Course – August 2020, a Covid-19 Awareness course – August 2020, a Communicating Effectively Course – October 2020, a Healthy Working course – January 2021, a Mental Health Awareness course – September 2021, and a Cyber Security Awareness Course – January 2023.

Glenn Moses

Glenn Moses is a registered chaperone with Cornwall Council – March 2022, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate – March 2022, is basic first aid trained – September 2021, and has been involved with theatre for most of his life.  Glenn has performed leading roles with Truro Amateur Operatic Society, including Ravenal in “Showboat”, Bernardo in “West Side Story”, King John in “Blondel”, President Roosevelt in “Annie”, Don Pedro in “Much Ado About Nothing”, Archer in “The Beaux Stratagem”, Tolloller in “Iolanthe” and Monsieur D’Arque in “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast”.

Melissa Moses

Melissa Moses is a registered Chaperone with Cornwall Council – March 2022, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate – March 2022, is paediatric first aid trained – July 2021, and has a Level 2 EYP Apprenticeship Qualification.

Melissa has been involved with the theatre all of her life, and has been a member of Playrite Theatre, Truro YoungStagers, and Redruth Operatic and Dramatic Society.  Melissa has performed in productions at The Hall for Cornwall in Truro, The Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, The Burrell Theatre in Truro, Redannick Theatre in Truro, and The Keay Theatre in St Austell.

Alana MOSES

Alana Moses is a registered Chaperone with Cornwall Council – March 2023, holds an Enhanced DBS Certificate – March 2023 and is basic first aid trained.

Alana has been involved with music and the theatre all of her life, and has been a member of Playrite Theatre, Truro YoungStagers and Redruth Operatic and Dramatic Society. Alana has performed in productions at The Hall for Cornwall in Truro, The Minack Theate in Porthcurno, The Burrell Theatre in Truro, Redannick Theatre in Truro, and the Key Theatre in St Austell.

Alana has a merit Level 3 Diploma qualification in popular music and she has her own audio interface equipped with DAW software. She has recently released her first album “Silver Flame” on Spotify, ITunes and other streaming platforms.
