Stagezone Halloween Party!

On Saturday 31st of October 2020, some of our Stagezone members celebrated Halloween on a Zoom call! It was lovely to see everyone’s costumes and make-up – you all looked amazing! We played Halloween games such as Scavenger Hunt, Quizzes, Find the picture, Zoom in and Would You Rather, to name but a few! Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun.

Stagezone Paused …

Unfortunately, despite my best efforts and hard work replanning weekly sessions, I will not be able to restart Stagezone next week.
This is due to a lower level of confirmed members at the present time. To run successful weekly sessions learning dance, acting and singing, I need to have a minimum number of children. I also need to cover my hall hire costs and my extra Covid19 resources.
I aim to reassess during October half term when hopefully we will have more knowledge regarding a potential second wave, and children will be more settled into their school routine.
Stay safe everyone and hope to see you all soon.
Michelle 😊

“The Show Must Go Online”

Some of our Stagezone members took part in recording this video during Lockdown 2019, and we hope you enjoy our version.  Thank you to everyone who took part.

This song is from the virtual children’s musical “The Show Must Go Online” available at http://www.bbbpress.com.  Book by Jessica Penzias, lyrics by Dave Hudson and music by Denver Casado.  @bbbpress #theshowmustgoonline

“Red Alert For The Arts”

Some of the members of Stagezone Youth Theatre were involved in the below video, in support of all the Arts and the important role they play in the development of young people. Covid-19 has affected the Arts in particular, and we wanted to be a part of showing people the importance of having a creative outlet, such as drama, music and dance.

Stagezone Socially Distanced

I am currently working hard at re-shaping Stagezone Youth Theatre, with the view of planning to restart face to face sessions from September 2020.

I am waiting to receive confirmation from each venue, and as soon as I am able to, I will update everyone regarding the new timings/sessions available.

In order to be able to facilitate online booking to minimise contact as a result of Covid19, I have set up an online booking page where parents can book and pay for each session.  The cost has to be paid for each session booked, which I have set at £3 a session, which I hope you will all feel is reasonable considering the extra procedures needed to be in place to facilitate social distancing, together with sanitising products/procedures needed.  You will still be able to book in advance for the whole term, but you will have to choose to add each weekly session to the cart.  This should also help you as parents, as if you are unable to make a session due to a pre-arranged event, you will only pay for the sessions booked.

Sessions will be limited to 15 per session.

To allow for cleaning, each session has been reduced to 45 minutes, but rest assured, your child will be continuing to learn drama and dance during these sessions.  At present, I am not able to provide singing sessions, but I will be including mindfulness and mental health into some of the sessions, as I feel that young people will benefit from this after the challenge of the past few months.

Due to the added time and resource that it will take to plan for each of these sessions, I will not be able to offer a refund, so please ensure that when you have booked a session, that your child attends.

As part of the social distancing policy, I will be asking for parent support in arriving and collecting children promptly.

Thank you as always for your support, and I look forward to being able to finalise details shortly.

Stay safe – Michelle
